Proper & Wild is the second restaurant of Jamie & Chelsie Savage. Their first restaurant, The Sanctum Cafe, is a popular hit with many in the Orlando area who care about eating real, good food. Proper & Wild is located on Morse Avenue in the heart of the Park Avenue area near Rollins College. According to Chelsie, it is “Winter Park’s only scratch kitchen.” They serve vegan and vegetarian cuisine and have an organic coffee house, and an organic juice bar. For those that are sick of most restaurants that serve food laden with GMOs from the dirty dozen list, this restaurant is the place to go!
Proper & Wild takes a stand as a restaurant that will be committed to healthy, mostly organic food. They refuse to use hydrogenated oils, high-fructose corn syrup, artificial food dyes, preservatives, bleached flours & refined sugars and instead for the choice that is best for your health. Most of their ingredients are from locally sourced, farm-to-table vendors, and are prepared by trained chefs that talentedly bring out the color and flavors of each ingredient. If you want to eat well from both a health perspective and from a tasty perspective then I encourage you to reserve a table with them!
Since Auxilia had been working with The Sanctum Cafe by doing website maintenance and SEO, Chelsie had requested that we build Proper & Wild’s website and work on their SEO. Auxilia utilized a graphic designer to help with the restaurant’s new look. Chelsie had a professional photographer that they used at The Sanctum Cafe and she took professional shots of this restaurant, too. Chelsie and her team were able to add the written content, pulling from the vast information and experience they have on the subject.
Auxilia also developed a tricky menu system that takes the menu and injects SEO rich content into each menu page for each menu item. This means that as Google indexes the page, it gives the potential for their individual menu items to rank in a Google search. Furthermore, since this restaurant has multiple events we used a similar concept to help inject SEO rich content into their events, allowing their events to rank in Google searches.
The domain is new so that always presents challenges earlier on in ranking. However, we were able to use some awesome techniques to help the website begin gaining traction with Google more quickly. Overall, the website looks beautiful, it has good underlying SEO architecture built into the site, and it represents their restaurant well. I can honestly say that their food is awesome (I’ve personally eaten there), and this site does the best job possible in digitally drawing folks towards a dining experience that will leave them satisfied and happy!
